I trained and worked as an illustrator for about ten years, but decided to explore my love of sculpture after the birth of my son.

Being self taught, it has taken me a while to find the best methods and materials to work in. I now cast my work in polyester resin, which is strong and durable and mix it with various materials such as: copper, iron and marble.

I have been studying movement in figures and animals and I’m inspired by the idea of capturing a moment in time and the dynamics and excitement of a moving form.

Every May I exhibit my work as part of the Brighton Arts Festival and I have sold most of my work that way, as well as through galleries. In 2000 I completed a large sea-life sculpture for the Brighton Royal Sussex County Hospital and in 2009 I joined Surrey Sculpture Society and have really enjoyed exhibiting my work at their wonderful venues.
