Born in Kenya, raised in UK. My career spanned from being a housewife, to working as system analyst and database administrator at various companies.
Being creative, and self taught. My hobby has given me a new title, I am an artist and a sculptor, a career that I had always wanted. I am living my dream, thanks to my supportive husband and 2 independent boys. I am a self taught artist. My art consisted of varied subjects and mediums.
In 2009 I added sculptures to my portfolio. In 2011, I was forced to give up art altogether . In 2019, I was able to resume sculptures again in a limited capacity. My father in law started to encourage me to pick up my paint brushes again. He wanted to see what my paintings would be like as my sculptures had improved slightly from 10 years ago.
After 2 years of sculpting, I picked up my paint brushes, inspired by my husbands sunflowers, that he’d planted in our garden. Since than I found confidence and produced my father in law’s portrait (2022) . When I finished his portrait I was glad that he encouraged me to paint it as since I’ve taken on commissions. I am now a confident artist and a sculptor.
My sculptures mostly consist of female form in motion. I create them in clay and cast them in marble , bronze resins . They are my own unique creations. I take commissions to clients requirements.
