Sue Nicholson
After painting wildlife as an occasional activity during her career years, Sue felt on retirement that sculpture would be an absorbing extension of this. This has grown into an enduring passion and she now casts limited editions of her work, mainly in bronze resin.
She loves the creation of texture to give an illusion of fur, feather and muscle, and important to her is injecting an element of individuality through expression or attitude into each of her sculptures; the heads of creatures interest her particularly.
A regular exhibitor with the Society, she also exhibits with the Society of Women Artists as an elected member. Her work is in private collections throughout the UK, and abroad.
