I have been a member of SSS since 2017 when I first exhibited at Landmark Arts Centre with the society. In 2018 I was Exhibition Manager for Landmark Sculpture Showcase. In 2019 I was Exhibition Manager for the Surrey Hills Sculpture Garden and Arts Festival held at Birtley House.
Clay is my favourite medium and I get my work cast into bronze at Talos Art Foundry or bronze-resin, cast by Ryman Leader Castings. I also have my own kiln so can fire my ceramics to stoneware temperatures.
My first studio, after graduating with a degree in Fine Art, was a cow shed so I naturally made cows. Commissions started coming in and my love of anatomy and animals was fully expressed. My other lines of artistic enquiry take me to the study of plants, particularly carnivorous plants and insects namely the honeybee. I take part in Open Studios West Berkshire and North Hampshire every year. I love teaching and have 30 students. My studio is now in my garden in Newbury, Berkshire.
