Christa’s work is predominantly figurative, mainly in bronze, ranging from miniatures to lifesize. Many of her ideas originate from personal experience and childhood memories, but much of her work is, in concept, imaginary.
In 1994 Christa was invited to become a member of the Society of Women Artists and in the same year exhibited at the Medici Gallery. In 1996 she held a solo exhibition in North London, and some of her sculptures were featured in a competition garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.
Her work has been shown in many galleries and exhibitions in London and sold worldwide. For several years her work was featured in the Harrods Picture Gallery. Other Galleries include: Linda Blackstone Gallery, Pinner, Lincoln Joyce Fine Art, Great Bookham, and Holme Grange, Wokingham.
She regularly exhibits with Artparks International at Sausmarez Manor, Guernsey, and their other outdoor venues in the UK.
Her commission for Eagle House School, Crowthorne was unveiled to commemorate the opening of a new building in 2002.
She is an active member of the Surrey Sculpture Society, having exhibited at Savill Garden, Virginia Water, Borde Hill, and the Royal Horticultural Society, Wisley.
