You will have seen Hazel on TV over the last five years – on the news, in documentaries and even on Have I got News for You and University Challenge. She is passionate about telling stories in bronze of struggles for social justice and redressing the lack of women represented in statuary.Â
Hazel is looking forward to answering your questions on making public art, drawing on her notable bronze public art commissions: suffragette, Emmeline Pankhurst, Manchester 2018; the women ‘Cracker Packers’ statue, Carlisle 2018; locomotive engineer, Sir Nigel Gresley, King’s Cross Station 2016 (photo: Roger Bamber).Â
Hazel is a member of the Royal Society of Sculptors and the Society of Women Artists and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. She is also a friend of Surrey Sculpture Society, and exhibited with us for many years, including showing the maquette of Sir Nigel Gresley at Landmark.Â
A complete catalogue of Hazel’s work can be seen on her website: www.hazelreeves.comÂ
