We are delighted to be exhibiting for the first time at The Secret Garden in Kemp Town, Brighton this year from 1st May to 2nd June.

The Secret Garden was originally part of 32 Sussex Square which was purchased by Lawrence Peel (younger brother of the Prime Minister) in 1830. It is the last surviving example of several large gardens belonging to the grand houses in this square, all originally linked to the houses via tunnels. Hidden within Kemp Town, it functioned as a pleasure garden leading to a kitchen garden beyond. In 1950, it was acquired by Antony Dale, founder of the Regency Society, and later preserved by his wife Yvonne. Rather than allowing development, she ensured it would remain a peaceful community and artistic space. With guidance from Gavin Henderson CBE (former Artistic Director of the Brighton Festival), it was transformed into a sculpture garden. It has been redesigned by plantsman Nick Dwyer and is now run by the Anthony Dale Trust, it has hosted a number of sculpture exhibitions over the years and we are delighted to be taking up residency through May to the beginning of June.

The garden is open at weekends and Bank Holidays - see venue website for more details.
