Philippa Kate Weaver is an experimental sculptor and film maker who uses collected narratives to investigate the pivotal role of creativity in surviving the everyday. Philippa's work is project based, responding to residencies, collaborations and commissions.
Until recently London based, Philippa now works from her studio at the foot of Leith Hill and is evolving her practice to incorporate the beauty of her new surroundings. Philippa studied her Masters in Fine Art at the University of Arts London where she focused on collaborative making, believing that all art is a collaborative process. She is currently writing up a PhD proposal.
Philippa has just completed a highly successful three month residency at Leith Hill Place where she researched and responded to Caroline Wedgwood, one of the house's more mysterious previous residents.
