I create small-scale figurative sculptures in stoneware that explore how psychological experience is carried and revealed through the human body. Working from a foundation in classical figurative sculpture, I model solitary figures whose anatomy, posture, and facial expression reflect internal emotional states rather than narrative action.

My background as a chartered psychologist informs both the conception and making of the work. I am particularly interested in quieter and often overlooked conditions of human experience — melancholy, isolation, exhaustion, and psychological strain — and how these states subtly alter physical presence.
