Briony Marshall
'Science, Residencies and Perspiration' 2016
Briony Marshall MRBS is a London based sculptor and installation artist. With a background in Biochemistry, Briony fuses an intellectual/conceptual approach with an intuitive, materials inspired process to develop sculptures that investigate the natural world and man’s place in it.
She will share her journey to creating her latest work, a two meter high sculpture of a single twist of DNA in which the atoms are represented by human figures, whose arms form the bonds of this complex and beautiful molecule. Over 600 figures come together in a powerful representation of the interconnectedness of life.
