Juliet Simpson has been making sculptures from childhood.
Her early work was dominated by the experience of being brought up on a farm in the days when they commonly had cattle, poultry, pigs, sheep, even horses before they were replaced by tractors.
Although she never considered it a career choice she drifted into selling at agricultural shows and made many trophies, sharing the career with teaching and child rearing. Later both the subject matter and media developed and now most of her work is cast in bronze or made with mixed media and her interests are in commenting on society.
