Christine Charlesworth

Christine specialises in figurative and portrait sculpture, using traditional methods, but she also enjoys working with fabricated steel to produce more contemporary artwork. She is inspired by the human form. With all her work she endeavours to capture life and movement, and with portraits to capture the spirit and personality of each person.

An elected member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and Society of Women Artists, Christine was chosen as an official artist for the London Olympics in 2012.

To January 2017 she has completed over sixty private and public commissions, together with a large selection of limited editions. Her portrait and figurative sculptures are cast in bronze or bronze-resin and are in many private collections throughout UK, Europe, Australia, Caribbean, Singapore and USA.  Public sculptures can be found in London, Hong Kong, India, Guildford, Godalming, Chiddingfold, Haslemere and Woking.

Christine is based near Godalming where many of her garden sculptures can be seen, together with examples of smaller works, including portraits,  in her studio
