Carol Orwin returns by request from members to continue her workshops on aspects of sculpture.

Demonstrations will run over three separate dates, with each one covering a specific aspect of casting a sculpture:

1st - 11/04/26 – Applying silicone rubber and seams to a clay maquette.
2nd – 20/06/26 – Trimming the silicone and applying fibreglass jacket
3rd – TBD – Filling the mould and general casting techniques

This will be a loose/relaxed format so please ponder any topics or queries beforehand. Ideally you would contact Carol ahead of time about specific topics, but she will address any questions you may have on the day. Don’t be shy!

Throughout the demonstration ideas and information regarding resin casting will be discussed.
Also, a brief “Question and answers” - how to run your own sculpture studio and how to price your piece.

Carol studied at High Wycombe College of Technology and Art, then at St Martin’s, London under Sir Anthony Caro and Phillip King. She is best known for her work as an animalier. She has been teaching and producing sculpture for 40 years, so you’re in good hands!
