Ian Milner

Going to sea at 17 failed to frustrate Ian’s artistic activities and after keeping up his sketching and painting during his service, on retirement from his subsequent shore based building surveying career took up sculpture working under Nigel Konstam in Tuscany, specialising in figurative subjects in bronze with particular interest in Portrait Sculpture.

Currently Chairman of the Art Club of the Old Royal Naval College Greenwich and now able to use his knowledge of ships and the sea combined with his building experience, to portray both maritime and architectural subjects effectively but Portrait Sculpture remains his main interest.
