Studied sculpture at Gwent College of Higher Education (B.A. hons degree) St. Martins College of Art (Advanced Sculpture Course) and Kanazawa University of Art & Design, Japan (M.A.)

I lived and worked in Japan for over five years, winning two prestigious sculpture prizes and many commissions. My work can be seen in various locations throughout Japan. I have also exhibited widely in the U.K. and last year was accepted as an Associate member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.

My work is still influenced by the Buddah sculptures I saw in Japan, in particular the serene spiritual quality expressed through rounded forms and flowing line.

I currently work exclusively in Portland stone as I like its unpretentious subtle colouring and texture which lends itself to the simplicity of expression I aim for.

My work is an expression of how it feels to inhabit the human body, and the forms I create are influenced by all forms in nature, strengthening the idea of our attachment to the Earth, and lending the sculpture a natural 'organic' quality.
