All my original sculptures are carved from stone. I mainly use a variety of limestones, but am also working with other stones such as marble and soapstone.
Most of my sculptures are based on natural shapes that to me are flowing and calming, although I occasionally diverge from this. I like to try and strip away detail yet encapsulate the essence of the forms that evoke in me, and hopefully in others, a mostly pleasing emotion or reaction. Some sculptures are available as unique pieces, others are reproduced as small limited editions in a variety of materials, including white marble, bronze and aluminum resin.
I have exhibited widely in the south of England. Including The Open University, RHS Wisley, Claydon House and a number of Oxfordshire venues.
