My father was a portrait artist and attended the Royal College of Art but due to his early death and family circumstances I was forced to forgo my intended place at the Slade School of Art.

I am mainly self-taught except for sculpture and art courses in Surrey and West Dean College. I work in terracotta: portrait heads, the human form and wildlife. I enjoy the fine work that this clay allows. This is then fired or cast. I also work with resin, ciment fondue and direct plaster. My later work has been with driftwood, creating large outdoor pieces, dictated by the shape and natural beauty of the wood, enhancing with ciment and metal where appropriate.

I have exhibited at various venues and received commissions for my work.
