She was born in Malta of Naval parents. After a Languages degree in St. Andrews University, and marriage 1959, she taught for l2 years and then did a Dip. AD in Dyfed College of Art, Carmarthen, and post graduate years at City and Guilds Kennington, and Sir John Cass Art schools. She lived partly in London and Wales taking part in Welsh exhibitions. Since l988 she has lived in Surrey, work shown by Hannah Peschar, in Chertsey Museum, and other local exhibitions in Surrey, London and Hampshire. 1998 she joined the Surrey Sculptors, and l999 was elected Associate Member of the Royal British Society of Sculptors.and showed work in their exhibition 2001, and in the City Gallery, Bank in London.2000-5 Works in Artparks International Ripon, Newnham Paddox and other Hampshire venues, and this year was invited to show two sculptures in Chichester Cathedral.
She is a compulsive carver in wood, stone and Alabaster. Her bronze resin works are cast from the carvings. She is interested in tension, a flowing line, balance and is becoming more interested in working towards abstraction.
