Born in 1973, Rosamond initially trained in theatrical design and illustration and later, as a sculptor. She now works exclusively as a sculptor from her studio in Oxfordshire, where she lives with her husband and son. Sculpting in clay or wax and casting predominantly in bronze and bronze resin, she draws herninspiration from the natural world and particularly the relationship between parent and offspring. A vivid sense of attention to detail defines Rosamond’s sculptures, helping to capture the spirit and sense of the subject matter with both accuracy and empathy.
Rosamond exhibits in galleries across the country and undertakes both private commissions and public display pieces. Her work is currently held in several private art collections in the UK. Work can be scaled up for outdoor display, as required.
She was recently shortlisted for the prestigious David Shepherd Wildlife Artist of the Year 2011 Award and invited to exhibit at the Mall Galleries, London, alongside several members of the Shepherd family. She is a member of the Marwell International Wildlife Art Society (MIWAS) and the Surrrey Sculpture Society and her work can regularly be seen at Whittington Fine Art Gallery, Henley-on-Thames and Art In Action, Waterperry, Oxfordshire.
